It was a beautiful Autumn day on Monday, October 17th. This set the stage for a memorable event at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Flourtown, PA. The 2011 Coach's Cup Golf Outing & Dinner Banquet was a huge success.
More than 80 golfers from various companies and corporations competed in the Coach's Cup golf tournament and enjoyed the cocktail & dinner banquet featuring a silent auction and awards presentation.
The winning foursome of the golf tournament was Steve Porrecca and his group from Execupharm. The foursome from Eastern University came in second place and one of the foursomes from Olson Research Group, Inc., the Presenting Sponsor, came in third place. Tim Thornton of Vanguard was the winner of the Merion Golf Club raffle.
The ACHIEVEability Coach’s Cup is dedicated to the committed team of coaches who improve the lives of ACHIEVEability families. In addition to the recognition of the tremendous work of the coaches, various other individuals were honored during the dinner banquet. ACHIEVEability honored the Parent of the Year, Elaina Howard, the Child of the Year, Samyrah Orr and the recipient of this year's Jes Lawson Award, former board chair Tony Schweiger. Former ACHIEVEability parent Nina Knight, who recently earned a law degree and received a job offer with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office was honored, as well.
A special thanks goes out to our many sponsors of the event: Olson Research Group, Inc. as the Presenting Sponsor, Morgan Lewis as the Awards & Cocktail Sponsor, Grant Thornton as the Lunch Sponsor, Execupharm and Johnson Kendall & Johnson as the Cart Sponsors, and Candor Consulting, Higgins Group, Inc., Landlord Service Associates and Risk Management Partners, LLC as the Tee Sponsors.
